Skrillex’s partially shaved head-look may be popular these days (althoughMetallica’s ex-bassist Jason Newstead was rocking it way before him), howeverLady Gaga’s new look was less inspired by fashion and was instead catalyzed by the death of celebrity photographer Terry Richardson’s mother.
.
Richardson’s mother passed away yesterday and to pay tribute to her Gaga shaved the back of her head and posted a photo of it on Twitter alongside the message, “I did it for u Terry. I’m sorry about ure mommy. She has princess die, but were all princess high.” .
If you don’t understand what she is talking about, “Princes Die” is a song she’s been playing on her current Born This Way Ball tour and will likely be on her highly anticipated next disc ARTPOP. Richardson and Gaga worked together on last year’s coffee table book LADY GAGA x TERRY RICHARDSON and they grew to be close friends during the process. .
So what do you think of Gaga’s tribute to Richardson’s mother? Let us know in the comments section below as you listen to some Lady Gaga Radio!
Jack’s Mannequin fans may want to start thinking about a way to get out to Los Angeles because the band have announced that they’ll play their final show at the third annual Dear Jack benefit which takes place there on November 11th.
. A statement on frontman Andrew McMahon’s site explained, “These are not easy words to write but I truly believe that the ending of this chapter will give birth to something beautiful. I cannot thank you all enough for the support you have given, not just to me, but also to Bobby, Jay, Mikey and Jon over the last 7 years. We are eager to take the stage on the 11th and play these songs that have scored nearly a decade of our lives, for you, the people who have given them a home. It feels both fated and appropriate that the profits from this show go to supporting young adults affected by cancer.” .
It goes on to explain, “You can continue to chart my progress at andrewmcmahon.com, as well as@amslingshots on twitter and @amnthewilderness on instagram. As more develops during this transition for both my band mates and myself, I will be keeping you up to speed via one or more of these newly adopted spaces. I look forward to seeing you on the 11th to celebrate the music I have had the joy of creating as jacks mannequin. It will be a beautiful night.” .
So what do you think of Jack Mannequin’s calling it quits? Let us know in the comments section below as you listen to some Jack’s Mannequin Radio. .
It’s hard to keep up with all the new Green Day songs that keep flying out these days (and it’s only going to get harder as the band’s album trilogy emerges over the next few months). The latest is a classic pop-punk number called “Nuclear Family,” which has an accompanying live video. .
This track returns the band to their straight-up punk rock style, suggesting that recent numbers like “Kill The DJ” may not necessarily define the band’s upcoming disc¡Uno!. The video is stripped down as well, just the band members rocking out in a studio. There are no clubs, no disco balls and no half-naked models, which should offer some relief to longtime fans who felt like the punk band was getting too pop with their recent releases. Watch below:
Just like the old days, right? Sort of makes you want to go dig out your cassette copy of Dookie and jump around in your living room. Or, at least, that’s what it makes us want to do. Fans will be able to jump around to Green Day songs live soon. The band recently announced a massive tour in support of their upcoming albums. You can check out the full tour dates with on-sale times here. .
How do you feel about the clip for “Nuclear Family”? Do you like Green Day better stripped down or surrounded by stripped down models? Tell us in the comments. .

Got $40,000 and support the re-election of President Obama? Great, then you can hit up Jay-Z and Beyonce’s fundraiser for the president next Tuesday at the rapper’s Manhattan 40/40 Club. . Jay-Z and Beyonce will host the 100-guest fundraiser, which is reportedly Obama’s final fundraising event prior to the election in November. The power couple have made their support of the president and his wife no secret over the past four years so it’s not surprising that they are using their celebrity to bolster his re-election fund. Most recently Obama stopped by Jay-Z’s Made In America festival in Philly in a pre-taped message that Hov aired for the crowd. In the video message Obama said, “To me, the idea of America is that no matter who you are, what you look like or where you come from, you can make it if you try. Jay-Z did it. He didn’t come from power or privilege. He got ahead because he worked hard, learned from his mistakes and just plain refused to quit. That’s what ‘made in America’ means.” . Jay-Z has even rapped about the president, once noting that he has “Obama on the text.” Beyonce has also been vocal about her support for First Lady Michelle Obama. Earlier this summer the singer released a video message commenting on her love for the president’s wife. Beyonce said, “Michelle is the ultimate example of a truly strong African-American. She is a caring mother, she’s a loving wife, while at the same time she is the first lady!”
Regardless of your political leanings, you have to think that Jay-Z and Beyonce are pretty cool for doing this fundraiser. Plus, we want to be able to brag about having the president on text. What do you think the fundraiser will entail for your $40,000 contribution? Hopefully a photo booth where you can snap a shot with Blue Ivy. .

LYRICS
Some nights, I stay up cashing in my bad luck
Some nights, I call it a draw
Some nights, I wish that my lips could build a castle
Some nights, I wish they'd just fall off
But I still wake up, I still see your ghost
Oh Lord, I'm still not sure what I stand for oh
What do I stand for? What do I stand for?
Most nights, I don't know anymore...
oh woah, oh woah, oh woah oh oh
oh woah, oh woah, oh woah oh oh
This is it, boys, this is war - what are we waiting for?
Why don't we break the rules already?
I was never one to believe the hype - save that for the black and white
I try twice as hard and I'm half as liked, but here they come again to jack my style
And that's alright; I found a martyr in my bed tonight
She stops my bones from wondering just who I am, who I am, who I am
Oh, who am I? Oh, who am I? mmm... mmm...
Well, some nights, I wish that this all would end
Cause I could use some friends for a change
And some nights, I'm scared you'll forget me again
Some nights, I always win, I always win...
But I still wake up, I still see your ghost
Oh Lord, I'm still not sure what I stand for, oh
What do I stand for? What do I stand for?
Most nights, I don't know... (come on)
So this is it? I sold my soul for this?
Washed my hands of that for this?
I miss my mom and dad for this?
No. When I see stars, when I see, when I see stars, that's all they are
When I hear songs, they sound like this one, so come on
Oh, come on. Oh, come on, OH COME ON!
Well, this is it guys, that is all - five minutes in and I'm bored again
Ten years of this, I'm not sure if anybody understands
This one is not for the folks at home; Sorry to leave, mom, I had to go
Who the fuck wants to die alone all dried up in the desert sun?
My heart is breaking for my sister and the con that she call "love"
But when I look into my nephew's eyes...
Man, you wouldn't believe the most amazing things that can come from...
Some terrible lies...ahhh...
The other night, you wouldn't believe the dream I just had about you and me
I called you up, but we'd both agree
It's for the best you didn't listen
It's for the best we get our distance... oh...
It's for the best you didn't listen
It's for the best we get our distance... oh...

From the producer of Wedding Crashers--written and directed by and starring comic talent Dax Shepard (NBC's "Parenthood") HIT AND RUN is the story of Charlie Bronson (Shepard), a nice guy with a questionable past who risks everything when he busts out of the witness protection program to deliver his fiance (Kristen Bell) to Los Angeles to seize a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Their road trip grows awkwardly complicated, when they are chased by the feds (led by Tom Arnold)... and increasingly dangerous, when Charlie's former pals, a band of gangsters (led by Bradley Cooper), enter the fray.
Angelina (Ashley Hinshaw) is an 18-year-old on the verge of finishing high school, rushing to escape her broken family life. After reluctantly taking nude photos at her boyfriend's (Jonny Weston) behest, she takes the cash to skip town with her best friend (Dev Patel). Angelina gets a job cocktailing in a San Francisco strip club where she meets Frances (James Franco), an affluent lawyer who introduces her to a high-class world beyond her wildest dreams. At the same time, Angelina begins exploring San Francisco's porn industry, using the moniker Cherry, under the wing of a former performer turned adult film director (Heather Graham). But Angelina's newfound ideal lifestyle soon comes apart at the seams. ABOUT CHERRY challenges assumptions about sexuality and pornography, while addressing the common struggle of finding one's role in life.
The kids are biting and the blood is flowing in teenage writer-director Emily Hagins' horror-comedy breakthrough, MY SUCKY TEEN ROMANCE, the buzzed-about genre sensation. On 17-year-old Kate's last weekend in town before heading to college, she and her geeky friends head to SpaceCON, the local sci-fi/fantasy convention. There, Kate meets Paul, a recently turned teen vampire (who takes advantage of the gathering's costume atmosphere by actually dressing as a bloodsucker). But when Kate tries to make a move on him, he gives her the hickey from hell. Kate and her pals then discover that Paul is not the only vampire at the convention, and it is up to them to kick some vampire butt, or Kate's going to be attending permanent night school from now on! Vibrant young actors including Elaine Hurt, Patrick Delgado, Lauren Vunderink and Lauren Lee help teen writer-director Emily Hagins take a bite out of modern pop vampires in a hilarious, bloody tale that proves once and for all that love, like, totally sucks!

Seen this place before
back when I was young and I had something more to prove
Now that I'm older I've seen all the things that I want
and I'm ready to make my move
We'll stare straight-faced, don't hesitate
See, why would we want to make you bastards wait
Thank god, I got this chance, now I can say
So now we'll say, we'll say
We're gonna do what we want
Remember when they said that what we want can never be done
When it all comes falling down
We'll do what we want to
Said we'll do what we want to
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Remember when they said that what we want can never be done
Well look who's laughing now
We'll do what we want to
Said we'll do what we want to
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Whoa oh oh, whoa oh
Whoa oh oh, whoa oh
Oh my, don't they hate to see us try
Come on say what you think
It won't mean a thing
In the end we're gonna be just fine
We'll stare straight-faced, don't hesitate
See, why would we want to make you bastards wait
Thank god, I got this chance, now I can say
So now we'll say, we'll say
We're gonna do what we want
Remember when they said that what we want can never be done
When it all comes falling down
We'll do what we want to
Said we'll do what we want to
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Remember when they said that what we want can never be done
Well look who's laughing now
We'll do what we want to
Said we'll do what we want to
Yeah, yeah, yeah
We'll do what we want
Right now
Come on, come on
With or without you
We will never regret that
Don't you cross the line
Don't you cross that line
We'll do what we want
Right now
Come on, come on
With or without you
We will never regret that
Don't you cross the line
Don't you cross that line
Remember when they said that what we want can never be done
When it all comes crashing down
We'll do what we want to
Said we'll do what we want to
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Remember when they said that what we want can never be done
When it all comes falling down
We'll do what we want to
Said we'll do what we want to
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Remember when they said that what we want can never be done
